Erickson Marine’s 12th Annual Formula Rendezvous was held August 22nd to the
24th.  There were a total of 32 Formula boats at the event.  Boat owners
were greeted on the dock with registration being held at the Marina tent. A
beach towel and t-shirts were given to all.  Our evening continued on the
Treasure Island’s cruise ship “Spirit of the Water”.  An excellent meal and
wonderful music, by the band "The Stalls", highlighted the evening.   Our
theme for the weekend and costume contest was “Pirates of the Mississippi”.
Pirates were abundant, the outfits were spectacular.  The next morning we
enjoyed a great breakfast.  At that point, most boat pooled our way down to
Lake Pepin.  The convoy of Formula's was a site to see.  Many had pirate
flags aboard.  Great hors de vours and conversation were abundant as we
rafted out on the lake.  We made our way back to Treasure Island just in
time for our night of fun.  We had another great meal, Pound a Pirate,
Trivia Game Show and some oldies music.  The night concluded with door
prizes and awards.  What a perfect way to top off the weekend.  Thanks to
